Alen Mak / Sunny Day
On the the 230 mile Bulgarian Black Sea Coast you will find some of the finest sandy beaches in Europe. Alen Mak and Sunny Day are located around 20 km north of Varna and as you walk out of the South entrance of Golden Sands Alen Mak starts with bars, restaurants, shops and its own very popular sandy beach.
Apart from the sea there is glorious scenery, wooded hillsides and some of the best spa treatments using local hot spring water and mud. With average temperatures of 27oC and more than 300 hours of sunshine in high season, this is the perfect place to relax or head down to the disco’s and bar for some fun. Golden Sands
Golden Sands is the most famous resort amongst Bulgarians and Europeans offering something for everyone. Varna
Varna is the second largest city in Bulgaria and is widely called the seaside capital of Bulgaria as it is the biggest city on the Bulgarian coast. Varna is over 11 km long, while its width is rapidly
expanding with new trendy residential areas. The city's structure
resembles an amphitheatre as it follows the curves of the Bay of Varna.
With its many shops, museums, fun fair, Dolphin Park, sophisticated dinning and nightlife, it’s a city well worth visiting.Varna’s International airport has direct flights from the UK and Europe all year round. Airport transit time approx 15 minutes.
Balchik
Balchik was once part of the Romanian Empire. The Romanian Queen Maria built a Summer Palace and a Botanical Gardens there. The Royal complex included a chapel and a villa where she
entertained Romanian aristocrats. After the War in 1940, Balchik was once again included in Bulgarian territory.
Today the Palace and Botanical Gardens are open to the public and is only around 20 minutes bus or taxi journey from Alen Mak or Golden Sands. Airport transit time approx 40 minutes. |
